Kit de bricolage MonsGeek M1 QMK

Ich bin unglaublich glücklich mit der Tastatur! Sie ist zwar verdammt schwer mit fully assembled über 2kg, aber dafür steht sie an Ort und Stelle, da verrutscht nichts. Nutze sie mit Akko Fairy Silent Switches und GPBT ISO-DE Keycaps und bin absolut begeistert. Die Switches sind Stock im Einsatz, sie sind aber pre-lubed und butterweich. Damit kann keine Pre-Build Tastatur mithalten.
Die LEDs scheinen auch mit nicht transparentem Switchgehäuse sehr gut und m.M.n. vollkommen ausreichend.
Leider ist die Farbe des Cases schlecht auf einem Foto festzuhalten, aber sie sieht in Natura unfassbar geil und **** aus!
Nutze sie derzeit mit allen mitgelieferten Mods, jedoch ist ein Force Break Mod in jedem Fall von Nöten, aber dafür werden ja Silikonpads mitgeliefert, die ich jedem rate zu nutzen.

Was fun to build as a first time project!

The m1 was my first aluminium based build and I took advantage of Akko's sale which included 2 packs of switches with the board. I opted for the lavender pros after loving the way that the cream blues sounded on my last board, the epomaker magic cat.
This board is solid, it offers plenty of options for mods within the kit itself as well as leaving room for additional mods to suit your preferences. It is less flexible than other typing experiences on plastic based boards i've had in the past but the lavender pros with the tape mod and force break mods allow for a poppy tactile sound which is super satisfying. I would suggest that the stabilisers need work from stock and would recommend filming to remove some small pings and wobbles but this is minor.
Again very happy with the quality of this build and it takes very little work to sound great right out of the box on a budget. My partner has the GMMK pro and was devastated to see the quality I got with the M1 at a fraction of the price. Plus the purple is super cute.

The wait was long for the Monsgeek M1 Purple ISO, but not was it worth it! Paired it up with a set of Cherry MX2A Silent Red Switches and Krome purple keycaps (which basically batched the colour of the keyboard itself), and... It looks beautiful and feels wonderful to type on! I lubed the stabs with some Krytox 205g0, and used all the foam, tape mod and the force break mod. Couldn't have asked for better, and so will be using this keyboard for years to come!!! Absolutely love it! :D

Make sure you add to the cart all the keycaps you need for your layout, because the selection is very modular.

The only thing I’m missing for my ISO Spain layout are the small righthand Alt, Fn and Ctrl keycaps, but I did get blank keycaps for these spots, so al least it looks complete and clean nonetheless :)

los recomiendo totalmente es mi mejor teclado hasta ahora si lo modifican bien puede sonar increible y mas le vale que lo haga porque 148 euros no es poca cosa. Aun asi lo recomiendo muchoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo es una locura

Ich habe die Tastatur nun seit mehreren Wochen.
Vor dem Kauf der Tastatur war ich auf der Suche nach einer guten Custom Tastatur bzw. Barebone. Und was soll ich sagen. Die Suche nach einer guten Custom Tastatur hat für mich sein Ende in der Monsgeek M1 gefunden.
Die Tastatur ist super schnell bei mir angekommen und ich war ab diesem Moment mehr als geflashed. Der Lieferumfang beinhaltet alles, was man zum modden einer Tastatur gebrauchen kann. Durch eine Aktion zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufes auf der Website von Akko habe ich zudem die Silver Pro V3 Switches "gratis" bzw. inklusive zu der Tastatur bekommen. Diese kann ich ebenfalls nur empfehlen. Ich persönlich habe sie gelubet, aber die sind auch von der Factory aus preloobed und das ziemlich gut. Der Kundensupport hat mir auch bei einer erstmaligen Fehlbestellung schnell und kompetent geholfen. Daumen hoch dafür.
Long story short kann ich diese Tastatur nur jedem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einer preislich sehr attraktiven und trotzdem qualitativ sehr hochwertigen Tastatur ist. Ich habe Keycaps von Keyoo auf dieser Tastatur im Cherry Layout und finde diese ergänzen die Tastatur wunschlos.

Title says it all. I come from a HyperX alloy elite rgb, which has served me for 6 or so years. It still works fine but I thought it was time for an upgrade since it has literaly started rusting. And the Monsgeek M1 with Demon Switches I have now is an absolute unit. Very pleased with the shipping and status updates. Shipping could be faster imo but I get that it has to come from China so thats only fair I guess.. Also not of improvememt is the availability of the keycaps. Ive ordere them seperate cause I didnt like what I saw here. Ive ordered 2 sets of pudding caps. 1 white and 1 black. Results are in the picture.

I absolutely love this mechanical keyboard kit! The case and PCB are top-notch in terms of quality and design. The build process was a breeze, and the final result feels incredibly sturdy. Typing on this keyboard is a dream, with my akko blue switches and i got a perfect sound. A fantastic choice for anyone looking to build a custom mechanical keyboard.

Was easy to assemble and customize even though it was a first for me. Spare parts are a nice addition! Beautiful and amazing quality. Loved that I could choose switches for free, and it gave me the ultimate THOCK. Many RGB options and they look amazing with pudding keycaps.

The Monsgeek M1 is a very good kit to start a custom build.
The price is very good for this quality.

Quality of aluminium case is good. The keyboard come with tape and teflon pad for moding. The stabilizer is good too.

With Akko CS Wine White switches, xda pbt keycaps, Tempest Tape Mode and Force break mode, the sound is very nice.

The keyoboard is VIA compatible but you must use a fork from Akko (https://via.evove.top/), not the official website.

TL:DR : very good keyboard to start a custom build.

Akko gives a great service in ordering their products. The tracking app is highly appreciated and de goods always pass customs with ease.

The Monsgeek M1 is a great keyboard and with its weight it sits very sturdy on my desk.
It performs as expected and with de JWK T1 tactile switches it gives a nice soundprofile.
A few cons though ;
The pcb feels very stiff and I don't feel anything of the gaskets, there is no flex even when pushed hard.
I haven't managed to get a proper VIA connection with the standard app like I am used to with other boards. VIA doesn't recognise the PCB.
Also the online VIAL app doesn't recognize the pcb, even when resetting it to factory settings.
The only way to use VIA is online with : https://via.evove.top/
Strangely enough I heard other users were able to connect it the traditional way.
It bothers me that I have to use an other way which doesn't has the ability to program macro's .

So it is a nice board but mine has flaws.

Good website, good material, works very well.
Keyboard is heavy and with silent switchs is so quiet !

But, please Akko, for orders to France you should avoid using the Cainaio carrier which is very bad for us.
Going through “La Poste” is the best solution.
About my two packages, the one from La Poste arrived quickly and the one from Cainaio remained in the depot for more than a week. And I was lucky because Cainaio France has hundreds of disputes concerning package theft.

Nice quality and just amazing in general.

The Keyboard is absolutely great. THONK sound and it's HEAVY. Thank you so much for the extremly genorous customer support. I can highly recommend Akkogear as a whole and this keyboard as well.

MonsGeek M1 QMK DIY Kit

I really love this keyboard. Just one thing : the VIA software isn't compatible with azerty, so when you write an "a" in a macro it will write a "q" instead... please update it

The stuff is incredible and the support of the website too, this monsgeek m1 is my first DIY keyboard and the result is very cool :)

Habe das Board jetzt schon über 1 Woche und bin komplett überzeugt. Habe einige mods ausprobiert um für mich den besten Sound zu bekommen. Was super viel Spaß gemacht hat. Kann es an jedem weiterempfehlen vor allem für ein ISO Board meiner Meinung nach das beste. Zudem Board benutze ich die v3 pro silver switches von akko mit denen ich auch sehr zufrieden bin und noch gpbt keycaps. Würde mich sehr freuen wenn akko auch noch Keycaps in ISO de anbieten würde da es nicht allzu viel Auswahl in ISO de aufm Markt gibt
