How to keep the same feel across different games:

1️⃣ Calculate your current eDPI above.
2️⃣ For a new game, divide your eDPI by your mouse DPI.

⚠️ Due to different FOV and Yaw, use as a starting point and fine-tune.

What is eDPI?

eDPI stands for Effective Dots Per Inch. It combines your mouse DPI with your in-game sensitivity to show your true aiming sensitivity.

Unlike DPI alone, eDPI provides a more accurate way to compare sensitivity settings between players and games. Many professional FPS players use eDPI to maintain consistent aim across different titles.

The formula is simple:

eDPI=DPI×In-Game SensitivityeDPI = DPI \times In\text{-}Game\ SensitivityeDPI=DPI×In-Game Sensitivity

For example:

  • 800 DPI × 0.5 sensitivity = 400 eDPI
  • 1600 DPI × 0.25 sensitivity = 400 eDPI

Both settings result in the same overall mouse sensitivity.

What is a Good eDPI?

There is no perfect eDPI for every player, but most FPS gamers fall into common ranges.

Low eDPI

  • Better precision
  • More arm movement
  • Popular among tactical FPS players

Typical range:

  • 150–400 eDPI

Medium eDPI

  • Balanced speed and control
  • Good for most players

Typical range:

  • 400–800 eDPI

High eDPI

  • Faster movement
  • Less desk space required
  • Often used in fast-paced arena shooters

Typical range:

  • 800+ eDPI

Tips for Finding Your Ideal eDPI

  • Avoid changing sensitivity too often
  • Use raw input whenever possible
  • Disable mouse acceleration for consistent aim
  • Keep the same eDPI across games
  • Practice with one sensitivity before adjusting again

Consistency is usually more important than copying a professional player's settings.
